If you are looking around for fair-priced and done-right car repair services , look no further than MST Automotive Repair in Port Moody. Proud to offer top-notch complete automotive repair services from the same location for more than 25+ years, MST Automotive is known for its neighborly feel and treat-you-just-like-family reputation. Yet unlike many local shops that may specialize in only one type of auto repair services, MST Auto provides a wide array of repair & maintenance services to popular and less popular foreign & domestic car brands on the road today.

Here's what MST Automotive Repair offers:

Routine Services & Fluids

From steering to braking, many of the systems in your vehicle rely on fluids to keep them running properly. Regular fluid maintenance will help protect your vehicle's systems from costly damage and keep them operating at peak performance. Not sure how often to have fluids serviced? Check your vehicle's owner's manual, or drop by our MST shop so we can look it up for you!

  • Brake Fluid Exchange

Exchanging the fluid in the brake system helps extend the life of the brake system parts, including the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, calipers, ABS components, and hoses. Includes removal and safe disposal of old fluid and replacement with new fluid.

  • Differential Fluid Exchange

Removes moisture and dirt from the system, provides fresh lubrication to extend the differential performance especially in 4x4s and light trucks driven in severe service. Includes removal and safe disposal of old fluid and replacement with new fluid.

  • Cooling System Flush & Fill

A healthy cooling system protects your vehicle's engine from dangerous overheating. Routine cooling system flushes are essential. Removes rust, scale, sludge, and corrosion deposits from the entire cooling system, not just the radiator. Eliminates acidic mixtures, restores freeze/boil protection and helps prevent electrolysis. Includes up to 2 gallons of new coolant.

  • Fuel System Cleaning

Engines thrive on clean fuel. A fuel system cleaning from MST Automotive helps restore engine performance, lower emissions, extend engine life and improve fuel economy. Three-step program cleans the intake manifold/runner, fuel injectors or carburetor, valves, combustion chambers and throttle body. Removes carbon deposits and water from the fuel system. Lubricates while cleaning.

  • Power Steering Fluid Exchange

Restore quiet, smooth, uniform steering control. Power Steering treatment reduces wear and heat, which can reduce steering control and lead to premature failure of the power steering unit. Removes contaminants, deposits, abrasive metal shavings and debris from power steering fluid system.

  • Wiper Blades

Most wiper blade manufacturers recommend changing the blades every spring and fall for best performance. Have your wiper blades checked with every oil change. MST Automotive can help you pick from a wide range of wiper blades.

  • Belt Replacement

Engine drive belts operate engine components such as water pumps, power steering pumps, alternators and more. When belts wear down, they are at risk of a sudden break which could leave your vehicle stranded. MST Automotive will perform an inspection of drive belts for cracking, fraying, deterioration or misalignment, and replacement belts where necessary.

  • Radiator & Coolant Hoses

Radiator and coolant hoses are essential engine components that help prevent engine overheating. As these hoses age, they can become brittle or weak and eventually burst or leak. A failed radiator or coolant hose can leave a vehicle stranded and can cause severe engine damage. MST Automotive will inspect the condition of hoses and replace where necessary.

  • Headlights & Taillights

Most drivers know when their vehicle's headlight burns out. But what about the many other lights that are essential for safe driving?. MST Automotive will inspect all vehicle lights and replace where necessary.

Suspension & Front End

If your vehicle has worn steering or suspension components, you're in for a bumpy ride. Your vehicle is attached to its wheels by a system of shock absorbents, springs, and linkages that keep the ride smooth - even when the road is anything but! When one suspension component weakens or fails, others are forced to pick up the slack by shouldering more of the impact. Regular suspension and front-end checks at MST Automotive will help you prevent a costly suspension 'domino effect' and keep your vehicle riding smoothly. Check your vehicle's owner's manual for suggested service intervals, or pull in to our MST shop – we'll be happy to look up your vehicle's specifications.

  • Shocks

Whether a bumpy ride has you wondering if your vehicle need new shocks, or you just want to explore how new shocks can give your vehicle a boost in handling performance and ride comfort, we can help. MST Automotive will evaluate your vehicle's shocks and help you pick from a wide range of shocks that fit your vehicle and your needs.

  • Struts

Struts help to stabilize your vehicle and keep it from swaying, bouncing and bottoming out. MST Automotive will inspect your vehicle's struts and strut mounting hardware and if necessary, advise you of options for replacement.

  • Steering and Suspension Evaluation

When your vehicle's steering and suspension systems suffer, your driving experience suffers. If you're having handling problems or notice unusual movements over bumps or turns, or if you simply need a routine evaluation, MST Automotive can help. We will inspect the major components of the steering and suspension system.

  • Tire Rods

Faulty tie rods can result in erratic steering, wandering, and significant tire wear. MST Automotive will diagnose steering problems and repair or replace tie rods if necessary.

  • Ball Joints

Clicking. Snapping. Squeaking. Thudding. Many front-end sounds are often symptoms of ball joint failure. Ball joints link your vehicle's wheels to its suspension system. Driving with faulty ball joints is a safety hazard. MST Automotive can inspect ball joints and either lubricate or replace as necessary.

  • Rack and Pinion

Your vehicle's steering system relies on the rack and pinion to make steering feel 'tight.' MST Automotive will diagnose the steering system and repair the rack and pinion if necessary.

  • CV Joints and CV Axles

C.V. Axles are found on all Front Wheel Drive (FWD) cars and some Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) cars. Torn C.V. boots and worn C.V. joints or axles can cause damage to transmissions and other components. MST Automotive can check your C.V. axles on a regular basis or anytime you hear clicking noises when making a turn.

    BRAKES

Your brake system is critical to your safety. While certain brake problems, such as worn brake pads, develop gradually and may be noticeable to the driver – many brake system problems offer no warning. MST Automotive will perform a complete brake inspection on your vehicle. Be sure to check your vehicle's owner's manual for specified brake maintenance intervals - typically every 12,000 to 18,000 miles. Not sure of your vehicle's recommended service intervals? Stop at MST Automotive.

    Brake Inspection

We'll diagnose your brake problem. Even if you don't notice a braking problem, periodic inspection of the braking system helps to identify worn parts and prevent brake failure. We perform a visual inspection of the brake pads and/or shoes, calipers, rotors, hoses, lines, master cylinder and more.
